Divas Dance Theatre are a British performance collaborative comprised of Liz Aggiss and Billy Cowie, who have been working together since 1980. Their work incorporates elements of theatre, film, opera, poetry and vaudevillian humour. Together, they have made over 20 pieces of live performance.

Anarchic Dance, published by Routledge in 2006, comprises a book and DVD that is a visual and textual record of Aggiss and Cowie’s work.

Liz Aggiss is a Brighton based performer, choreographer and dance filmmaker. She is Professor of Visual Performance at the University of Brighton and received an Honorary Doctor from the University of Gothenburg.

Billy Cowie is a Scottish choreographer, composer and filmmaker. He works principally in the area of dance/theatre performance, screen dance and installation. Cowie is a Principal Research Fellow in the School of Arts at the University of Brighton.
